Out in the void in silence immense
He said the Word and from chaos made sense
Moons and planets to orbit the stars
With the Earth placed right between Venus and Mars.
On one or his creatures He put His Mark
Formed in His image, imbued with a spark,
To sail on the water and walk on the land
With all of His bounty ready to hand.
By command of the King for all that was good
A temple was planned with stone and with wood
But near its completion three man who were skilled
Refused the secret their Master had killed
In grave lying shallow, his corpse cold and stiff
Beneath the acacia, lay Hiram Abif.
Alas for the master Alas for the friend
Alas for the brothers who hastened his end!
Their Master was murdered, the cruel deed was done.
He'd send a Messiah; He'd send them His Son.
Of woman then born, in a barn, in a creche,
To fulfill that promise the Word was made flesh.
He walked on the water. He walked on the land
To the blind and the dead He stretched out His hand.
But betrayed by a brother for silvery gold
His life's blood was shed as the prophet foretold.
But He made a promise before he was slain -
After a little you'll see me again
Just follow my footsteps, look for my mark
It's there in your brother, you'll see the spark.
But that which was lost was lost once again
And so grief was brought to all mortal men
Alas for the Master! Alas for the friend!
Alas for the brother who hastened His end!
So give me your hand and I'll give you mine
We'll grip them together our strength we'll combine.
And so with a brother to lighten the load
We'll travel together the hard rugged road
And if on our journey a friend we should find
Whose lifestyle gives witness he's honest and kind,
Our example within him that spark will ignite.
Then he'll willingly follow from darkness to light
So then at the judging which some call the end,
We'll be there in the circle- brother and friend,
With the source at the centre of all truth and light,
And His love will banish the eternal night
Then His letter or mark He will take from each man,
So all men will see the Word and the Plan.
All Hail to the Master! All Hail to the friend!
All Hail to the brothers — true to the end!
Em. Fra John Milgrew HGH,
